Cocoon, symbolic of one's life. While a cocoon is "ugly," discolored, and disjointed, it is breeding something refreshing - something invaluable - such is our journey through life. Beautiful, simply to describe the journey - the story that makes us absolutely amazing. We all have a story. It makes us who we are - the good, the chaotic, the ridiculous. Beautiful Cocoon just happens to be Tasha's story in all its transparency.

Beautiful Cocoon is guaranteed to make you smile, laugh, and shake your head (sometimes all at the same time). Either way, the hope is that it awakens new perspective and conversation in all of us.

about the writer

Writing has always been a constant for Tasha, the Ohio girl turned wanderer. As a writer, Tasha’s exposure varies nationally and internationally,  just as much as her boarding passes. She has worked on branding and promotional projects with celebrity djs like DJ Young Guru (Jay Z’s DJ) and DJ LT (Snoop’s DJ), as well as independent New York-based musicians and influencers. Tasha has even contributed to LargeUp.com, the Caribbean lifestyle blog and brainchild of Questlove (The Roots). After the birth of her son, Harlem, she joined MadameNoire as a contributor.
